JIMI HENDRIX BAND OF GYPSYS: WHO KNOWS [SUONHO RAW-DUB]

This is a subtractive rework of the epic nine a half minute long original recording performed live by Jimi Hendrix & The Band Of Gypsys on December 31, in 1969, which was included on the “Band of Gypsys” album the next year. Suonho, a much travelling italian dj and producer, focused his retouch on the powerful bassline and Buddy Miles‘ crazy scat singing, added another rhythm section and echoes of dub. An essential edit!

JIMI HENDRIX VS KATE NASH: MAGIC SPANISH SOUP [DRA’MAN MASHUP]

French mashup genius DRA’man connects good ole’ Jimi Hendrix‘s “Magic Spanish Castle” [acapella, guitar] and Kate Nash‘s “Pumpkin Soup” [instrumental].
Most of DRA’man‘s mashups are brilliant, absolutely refreshing and far from being stupid. Check this one out.
If you want to get more of this stuff listen to “The DRA’ Experience”, a 12-track-tribute-album by DRA’man dedicated to the music of Jimi Hendrix.
